Armenian

The Armenian people were the first to adopt Christianity as a nation (301 CE) and the Armenian Apostolic Church continues to use Armenian as its liturgical language. History has scattered the Armenians to all parts of the world, and they often find themselves in the position of having to flee a nation in which they once sought refuge.

This piece is temporarily in California as one of 24 calligraphic works accepted into the internationally juried exhibit “Calligraphies in Conversation” produced by the Ziya Art Center in Berkeley California.
