A middle eastern wedding tradition is to combine two names into a teardrop or paisley design. Here both English and Persian calligraphy is incorporated -- note the double use of the curved lines to represent the initial "S" sound of the names in both scripts. | |

The Arabic Script is the basis for one of the richest calligraphic artistic traditions in the world.
